Works of Edible Art

Located in Southwest Florida, Delectable by Design was founded by Cindy DeLeone. Cindy always enjoyed baking, even from a young age, but she grew up to become a graphic designer. However, after years of creating cakes and cupcakes for friends and family, she decided to finally open her own bakery in 2015. She incorporates her love of color and design, as well as extreme attention to detail, to create her edible works of art.

Although Cindy specializes in her stunning “boucakes,” or cupcakes that look like a bouquet of flowers, she also creates other works of edible art that are custom made for each order. She hosts classes and parties, both in person and online, to teach interested bakers new decorating and piping skills, and she even posts step-by-step decorating videos on her Instagram.

Cindy created the Cupcakes and Cranes project to honor her late nephew, and she delivers her beautifully decorated cupcakes to local addiction-recovery meetings and transitional housing facilities. Each box also contains paper origami cranes, as they are a symbol
