A digital timer might well be one of the most under-appreciated tools for tea lovers, but it is a great necessity. While there are pretty sand-filled timers that quietly count off the appropriate steeping time, they fail to announce adequately that the tea is ready to those who might have become distracted with conversation or other activities.
