“When I discovered afternoon tea, I fell in love with it,” Carrie remarks. “Afternoon tea is kind of like going to a spa for your soul. It forces one to slow down. When you come here, we want you to leave feeling renewed and pampered.”
Guests who stop in without reservations may still partake in the tea experience in the tea gift shop, where they can order tea by the cup or take it to go. Included on the wall of teas available for purchase are Carrie’s Bee Well Teas, a specialty line of teas designed to address and improve different health and wellness concerns. Visitors who venture into the boutique will discover an array of items such as jewelry, hats, tea gowns, and full tea sets available for sale—all perfect for a leisurely stroll back in time.
Camella’s Remember When is located at 165 East Main Street, Abingdon, Virigina. The tearoom is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday; and the gift shop is open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
