
A certified tea sommelier with the International Tea Masters Association, Gabrielle started designing and testing all aspects of the tea service—from food to presentation—for Baccarat in January 2016, prior to the hotel’s grand opening that March. In October the same year, her research and hard work for the hotel’s signature tea service debuted, and continues to grow, Gabrielle reports.
“It’s interesting because the tradition of afternoon tea is such an old thing,” Gabrielle says. “Some people are trying it for the first time, so our interpretation is setting a new standard.”
Regardless of whether they stay in one of the hotel’s 114 rooms and suites, guests for afternoon tea can expect a luxurious experience from the moment they step into the hotel. Glistening, gorgeous Baccarat crystal pieces are incorporated throughout the space, from the chandeliers and lighting to the tiered trays and serving pieces used during teatime.
