And while delicate and beautifully handcrafted Baccarat crystal isn’t always synonymous with taking tea, the company’s opulent hotel in the Big Apple hosts a tea service crafted with the same attention to detail as its fine crystal creations.
Tea sommelier Gabrielle Jammal’s upbringing in a Middle Eastern family included the tradition of partaking in a daily cup of tea. That simple custom turned out to be a defining part of her childhood, as it prompted her ever-growing interest in the beverage. Prior to working at the Baccarat, Gabrielle worked for Teavana, which she says developed her knowledge and understanding of tea. So when the opportunity arose to craft and innovate the Baccarat’s tea program, how could she refuse?
