The tables were elegantly decorated in an Easter theme with pastel tablecloths, dishes of different patterns, and all the dainty accoutrements for a proper tea. At the top of each plate were their favors—a small replica of a motorcycle with each person’s name served as the place card, and a small cutout of a fancy hat rested on the seat of the bike, commemorating the day the Ladies of Harley hit the open road for a ride to a tea party.
Teacups of chilled cucumber soup; beribboned salad spoons of asparagus, Gorgonzola, and tomato; individual pastry shells filled with creamy chicken à la king; dainty tea sandwiches; scrumptious scones; and elegant desserts are not usual motorcyclist fare, but each course was devoured with anticipation and lots of questions.

Following the scones course, the “biker chicks” gathered around a cake stand that festively sprouted colorful ribbons. As each one pulled a ribbon, they read aloud the attached quote about motorcycling, Harleys, or female bikers—some humorous, some poignant, some thought provoking. It was a fun way to relax after five courses and to gather everyone together before the most anticipated course—dessert!
