The dazzling, reflective finish of this lusterware teapot, produced by Oscar Schaller & Company in Bavaria, Germany, between 1909 to 1918, is an eye-catching addition to any autumn tea table.
As summer transforms into autumn, the rich, earth-toned hues of fall spark inspiration for inviting table settings and cherished wares. This teapot is adorned in bold orange and cream bands, accented by striking gilding, which are highlighted through the use of a metallic glaze that gives the effect of iridescence. Although this charming accoutrement may seem simple, its elegant appearance makes it a versatile piece that is perfect for a sophisticated affair or a more intimate gathering.

No autumnal celebration would be complete without a nod to the glorious beauty of the season. Haviland’s Autumn Leaf, depicting scattered green leaves with delicate hints of red and orange, is exceptionally beautiful when paired with more modest accoutrements, such as the orange-striped detailing on Royal Copenahgen Oranja Tureby salad plates. The classic appearance of Reed & Barton Grande Renaissance silverware and a simple tablecloth in a dark hue flawlessly finish this setting for a truly fall-inspired spread.
Bold & Beautiful
Make the beloved earth tones of fall truly pop by accenting them with china featuring complementary colors. The thick bands of deep navy on Rosenthal Frederick the Great dinner plates provide a wonderful contrast to the warm, rust-like hues of the lusterware tea set. A combination of the bold hues, such as on the vibrant and intricately designed Royal Crown Derby Old Imari dessert plates and teacups and saucers, and simple white linens flawlessly ties together the contrasting colors for a delightfully eye-catching display.
