Michelle Orrantia is a true “mompreneur.” Not only is she raising two girls with her husband, but she is also the owner and operator of two successful businesses. And while Michelle thrives on a busy work and personal life, she can also value the festive and leisurely pastime of afternoon tea. This appreciation and her professional drive inspired her to start her first business, a life-size dollhouse–themed tearoom, while pregnant with her oldest daughter. Since 2015, The Enchanted Dollhouse, previously named Victoria’s Dollhouse, has allowed adults and children a chance to have fun while enjoying a medley of food and sipping copious amounts of tea.
As the tearoom’s name suggests, guests who venture into the space are transported into a dollhouse complete with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. A walk through the restaurant is as much a feast for the eyes as it is for guests’ youthful spirits. Multicolored and patterned pastel walls; gilded mirrors; lovely chairs, couches, and benches; and an abundance of flowers and trinkets adorn the venue. Hats resting on the back of each chair invite diners to don them before the start of teatime. Each table displays a varied collection of teacups and saucers and teapots, both for guests to use and also as part of the centerpieces. For those looking to host a special event at The Enchanted Dollhouse, Michelle offers several add-on options to customize the occasion. Patrons can opt to include memorable details for their party, such as custom theme designs, a photo booth, a signature teapot cake, favors, and even a caricature artist. To host a variety of themed events throughout the year, Michelle has amassed an impressive collection of décor and trappings that create different motifs, such as vintage romantic, a royal garden, and assorted princess themes.

Patrons of The Enchanted Dollhouse may choose between two tea services to fit their needs. The High Tea, which costs $38 per person, includes endless pots of tea, tea sandwiches, scones, an assortment of petit fours, macarons, and complimentary white wine, along with the flower color of choice for the table and photos of the party to take home. The Royal Tea, for $48 per person, offers an expanded menu, with fare like mini quiches, petite meatballs, and madeleine cookies. As Michelle designed the tearoom to serve as the site for a multitude of commemorative occasions, she also offers a Petite Me menu for tea parties for up to 10 children. This menu, which costs $400, serves a collection of kid-friendly fare, from pink lemonade to turkey and cheese sandwiches to cupcakes and cookies. Boys and girls will delight in the variety of party games to play as well as costumes and hats to wear throughout the party.
Not only do The Enchanted Dollhouse’s whimsical features make it an appropriate locale for enjoying a pot of tea or hosting a tea party, but they also make it a unique wedding backdrop. Those who wish to have a more intimate celebration can book the tearoom and choose a specialty theme design, floral arrangements, and food and drink that will accommodate up to 60 guests. In keeping with the nuptial theme, Michelle says that the venue is also a great option to host a bridal tea that can be personalized according to the tastes and style of the honoree.
Afternoon tea is offered Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Reservations must be made in advance.
