Owner Debbie Heth purchased A Taste of Britain, a casual cafe and tearoom, after searching for a place to host a bridal shower for a friend. More like a cafe than a true tearoom, A Taste of Britain was named after the original owner’s homeland, and Debbie still uses many of her original recipes. In addition to hearty English fare such as beef cottage pie, A Taste of Britain also serves traditional tea fare. Cherry-almond scones are a customer favorite. A variety of tea and tea accoutrements are available at A Taste of Britain’s gift shop. The gift shop carries a number of British products that are rarely seen in the United States.
