“Goût Russe Douchka is still… one of the most popular of our blends,” Dammann Frères export sales director Charles Mignon notes. Other blends—of the around 3,000 tea recipes developed over the years by in-house flavorists—that he says remain popular among customers are Pomme d’Amour, Jardin Bleu, L’Ôriental blend, Miss Dammann, and Nuit à Versailles. “These are true signatures of our brand,” Charles says.
Since its inception in 1692, Dammann Frères teas have continued to grow in popularity not only among compatriots but also reaching international recognition through luxury hotels and restaurants. “Numerous are customers who, after a stay in these hotels and restaurants, contact us to know where to find our products in their own countries,” Charles says. In 2008, the brand decided to open its first storefront in Paris. This inaugural venue propagated Dammann Frères’s success, launching more shops across the City of Light, expanding to other regions of France, and finally establishing brick-and-mortar locations in Japan, South Korea, Italy, and Luxembourg.
“Our philosophy is not to only offer teas from all existing producing terroirs but to offer our customers the best of tea with teas that can be bought and sold as quickly as possible to be able to guarantee freshness with all of our products,” Charles explains. “With the development of the Internet, it is now easy to provide our products [for customers] to drink everywhere. By visiting our online store, they have access to the whole range we of er… more than 300 varieties.”

In addition to its online options, Dammann Frères’s international reach extends to more than 60 countries. With an extensive collection of distributors and retail locations selling their products, the delicious brews steeped from Dammann Frères teas can be enjoyed not only during an excursion to France but around the world.
