Yield: 12 tartlets • Preparation: 30 minutes • Bake: 6 minutes • Refrigerate: 4 hours
Ingredients
- ¾ cup finely crumbled chocolate wafers, such as Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1 (4-ounce) bar semisweet chocolate, such as Ghirardelli, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Lightly spray a 12-well square muffin pan with removable bottoms with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, combine wafer crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Divide crumb mixture evenly among wells of prepared pan, pressing firmly to create a level surface.
- Bake for 6 minutes. Let cool completely.
- In a small saucepan, heat cream until scalding hot but not boiling. Remove from heat, and add chocolate. Let stand until chocolate melts, approximately 1 minute. Whisk chocolate mixture until smooth. Divide chocolate mixture evenly among wells of prepared pan. Set aside.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt peanut butter on Low (30 percent power) in a microwave oven; stir until smooth.
- Transfer melted peanut butter to a small piping bag. Cut a small opening in tip of bag. Referring to step-by-step photos, pipe 2 drops peanut butter in center of each tartlet. Draw a wooden pick through centers of drops to form a heart shape.
