The smooth, soft finish of the ornate Perl Blue teapot by Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory is a beautiful piece to incorporate into a springtime tea affair.

While porcelain is a popular material for teapots and other china, there aren’t many manufacturers still in operation today. Not only does German maker Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory hold that honored distinction, it also boasts nearly three centuries of history and products, including this Perl Blue teapot. The pattern, which dates back to the late 18th century, features a matte surface that allows the ornate, raised design along the bottom of the body, spout, rims, and finial to stand out. The gentle cerulean hue makes this piece the perfect accompaniment for a classic blue-and-white motif.
