Spiced Buttercream
Serves: Approximately 1 cup
- 1⁄4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1⁄4 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
- 1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- In a large bowl, beat together butter, salt, and pie spice with a mixer at medium speed until creamy. Reduce speed to low; gradually beat in confectioners’ sugar. Beat in heavy cream and vanilla extract; increase speed to medium-high and beat until fluffy, approximately 2 minutes. Use immediately, or transfer to an airtight container, and refrigerate for up to 5 days until needed. Let come to room temperature before using.
