Savoury Aïoli
Serves: approximately ½ cup
 
Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon prepared English mustard
  • ½ teaspoon very finely chopped pickled shallot*
  • ¼ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon sherry vinegar
  • ⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground turmeric
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise, mustard, pickled shallot, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper, and turmeric. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator and let flavors meld for up to a day.
