Cranberry-Orange Compote
Serves: approximately 1⁄2 cup
 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed
  • 1⁄3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh orange zest
  • 1⁄4 cup fresh orange juice
Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, cook together cranberries, sugar, zest, and juice over medium heat until cranberries burst and mixture thickens slightly. Transfer compote to a heatproof bowl, and refrigerate until chilled, at least 20 minutes and up to 2 days, before using.
